Capacity

The required diameter of zinc rainwater downpipes and fittings depends on the amount of rainwater that needs to be drained. The diameter of the zinc downpipe is determined by the roof surface area and the number of rainwater outlets. As a rule of thumb for the drainage capacity of a rainwater downpipe, an outlet surface of 1 cm² per 1 m² of roof surface is applied.

Properties

This zinc rainwater downpipe is fitted with a socket end on one side, allowing for easy connection to other zinc pipes and fittings. The socket end simply slides over pipes and fittings with a spigot end. Always place the socket end in the direction of the water flow (upward) to ensure leak-free joints. A zinc downpipe does not need to be soldered.

For securing a zinc rainwater downpipe, we recommend using a collar and corresponding steel rainwater brackets. The sliding collar also prevents the pipe from shifting in the pipe bracket.
